Honestly I have been wanting to do this review here at KickOutat2.com for awhile now but I felt I should wait until all the DLC had been released and the game was in a proper working order to give it my fair over all view.

I got this game at Midnight release back in February and have had a blast with it! I will go on record here and say that WWE: Smackdown vs Raw 2006 was probably my favorite wrestling game of all time but this is a close second for me. The thing that I love about this game is the freedom and customization that THQ has given to us to play with this time around.  For example if you prefer The Undisputed WWE Championship and would like that as your main belt instead of the Spinner belt you can do it. If you want to form a Tag-Team with @ZackRyder, it can be done and if you want Monday Nights to be WCW Monday Nitro instead of WWE Monday Night Raw well you can even do that also!

Now that all the DLC has been released this game has a roster of 78 WWE Superstars, Legends and Divas! That is the biggest roster of any WWE Game ever! That being said I will now attempt my first ever review.

Presentation: 9/10 – This is by far the most impressive looking WWE game I have ever seen. The Entrances are pretty accurate and music can be changed with custom soundtracks options. The amount of customization options are insane; titles, shows, roster. You pretty much set how you want your WWE Universe Mode to play.

Gameplay and Controls: 8/10 – I know a lot of people are fans of the hard grapple soft grapples from the days of wrestling games on N64 and Gamecube. This has a similar setup with 2 sets of moves based on the condition of your opponent. My only real problem is they still havent returned the 2-button counter system back to the game yet. It is harder to counter this time around but the 2 button counter system was so much better.

Graphics: 9/10 – The game looks amazing and flows solid as watching Raw or Smackdown. There are a few glitches here and there but it is nowhere near as bad as past games. There is a flow to this game that is pleasing to the eyes no matter which areana or match type you play.

Sound: 9/10 – All the superstars have their music and if you want to edit the songs that play when they make them out to the ring you can do so. Some tracks will play as the arena effect and have the crowd chanting behind them and some wont. That’s my only gripe with the audio… well that and they added Michael Cole being annoying as hell into the running commentary during your matches.

Overall Score: 9/10 – This is one of the best wrestling games I have played in years. As I said a roster of 78 Susperstars, tons of customization and some of the most solid game-play of any game currently out. This is a must have game for any wrestling fan that owns a Xbox 360.  Overall I enjoy the hell out of this game so if I had to give it a wrestling term to review it allow me to pull a JR and say “… this one is a real Slobberknocker folks!”
