Reid Flair passes. Ko@2’s thoughts and prayers with the Flair family.

I was browsing Reddit for a few minutes while on break at work today and saw a headline mentioning that Reid Flair had passed away.  Sadly, it seems that being a wrestling fan here lately, you’re always just wondering who the next person that you’re going to read that headline about will be.  I’d have never guessed this one.

Outside of those currently in development, Reid was one of the wrestlers I was anxiously waiting to hear about finding their way into the WWE at some point.  I hadn’t seen him wrestle, honestly, since he turned pro, but had heard Flair talk about him on the Highspots shoot and was anxious to see how the 2nd generation of Flair was going to turn out, since David never really went anywhere.  Reid, though…I always thought he had a good look.  He looked like someone I bought as a future star, just from the few pictures I saw of him.  Back that up with great ability at the amateur level and I honestly thought we’d see some big things out of him.  I’m not going to lie, the possibility of a Flair Jr. vs Steamboat Jr. war was something that always kept Reid, as well as Richie Steamboat, on my radar.

We here at Ko@2 send our condolences, thoughts and prayers to Ric Flair and his family right now.
